All Torn Up

Being from a mixed background, my white mother started relaxing my hair at the age of 8. Because I had no one to teach me about how to care for my hair I continued to relax my hair when I got older. Around the time of my horror story my hair was very damaged, as you could imagine. But I've always wanted long hair so I decided to get some long weave braided into my hair.

So one night I was hanging out with an old friend at my house, and later into the evening she decided she wanted to go home instead of staying as we had planned, so I had to drive her home and I decided to stay because it was so late. Her roommates were in the basement having themselves a party that I wanted no part of so I got comfortable in her room and went to sleep. Next thing I know I'm being drug out of bed and beaten. For some unknown reason her roommate, who had a problem with me from the beginning, decided to beat me up. So she's got me by my weave and whatnot and long story short, I ended the fight and went home.

When I got home my head was hurting quite a bit so I had my dad check it out only to find out that this girl had ripped my hair out to the point that a significant part of my scalp had lifted. When it had healed enough to take the stupid weave out I did, along with a large portion of my damaged hair.
