Aveda's Shampure line

Aveda's Shampure line is affordable, eco-friendly, and the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used.

My all-time favorite shampoo and conditioner is Aveda’s Shampure. I am not exaggerating when I say it revolutionized my hair’s health and manageability. I have the interesting combination of thick hair that is also very fine and prone to dryness – you can imagine the flyaway problems I had. It also meant my hair volume was a pain to manage. It was either completely flat or way too fluffy.

In the past, I just used drugstore brands you could find anywhere; I figured most of the claims of various hair product lines were hype. I got sold when I went to one of their Institute’s to get my hair cut by their students, since of course they use all Aveda products in their own salon. I’m hooked on Shampure because it leave my hair smooth, shiny, manageable, and at a good volume level – not too flat, not too poofy. I now have wash and wear hair, something that was impossible before. On top of all this, Aveda is famous for its eco-friendliness, and all their shampoos and conditioners smell delicious.

I get the biggest size – I believe it’s about $26 for 34 oz. of shampoo. I think a bottle that size lasts me at least six months, maybe nine, and I wash my hair every other day. It’s not cheap, but since it lasts so long it isn’t much of ding to the pocketbook.
