Creating the Best Shampoo Process for Your Hair

Many people just pick any old shampoo and glob it on their hair swishing their hair around like it's a mop on a floor! This is not the best shampoo process I'd recommend!  In order to improve shampooing of your hair, you need to know a few things before we go any further.

It is important to know the best shampoo information to make sure you are shampooing properly and using the right shampoo for your hair type and the style you're trying to create. Types of Shampoos

Once you develop some basic knowledge in shampoos and shampooing, you should be close to developing the best shampoo process for you.  Making sure you have the right shampoo and conditioner for hair can be a little daunting at first and possibly expensive. Though, it doesn't have to be either. One quick tip to make this easy is to stick to one hair care line since in most cases, they are meant to work together.

Now, let's look at some of the various types of shampoos that are on the market today.  These various types of shampoo are meant for specific purposes: to enhance your natural hair or may help you achieve a better modified hair style.

Clarifying Shampoo

If you're going to spend a little extra money on anything, it should be your clarifying shampoo. Some hair product information you may encounter may say the exact opposite - that it doesn't matter. However, clarifying shampoos can be extremely stripping and drying. I would choose a high quality clarifying conditioner. Look at the ingredients and make sure it does not include sodium lauryl sulfate which is a very harsh cleanser. You want something gentle yet effective enough to remove styling product build-up. Many salon shampoo brands have more gentle clarifying ingredients.

Here are some recommended clarifying shampoos:

Moisturizing Shampoo

You can't get by with a gentle clarifying shampoo alone. No matter how gentle it is, you should still follow it up with a moisturizing shampoo. When using moisturizing shampoos, your hair should not feel dry and tangly when it's rinsed. It should feel clean and moisturized.
