Breakage from the pins

by Simplyhair

I have used the mesh rollers with the pins twice and I always experience breakage. It's not a lot though. I believe it's from sticking the pin directly thru the hair strands since I know not to pull so tightly when rolling. When I take the roller out, I see strands that around round and similar to the length of the wound up hair that would have been on the roller. Any suggestions to prevent this from happening?

Hi SimplyHair,

Make sure the pins you're using are smooth and don't have jagged or sharp edges. Also, make sure that you insert the pin between strands of hair. It may take a bit of maneuvering but should hopefully solve the problem. I hope this helps!

Not Sure
by: Nina

Hi there,

I can't be sure that those particular pins are causing the issue. Why not try some other pins and see if they work better? If you still have no luck with the pins, try using the caps that typically come with magnetic rollers instead of the pins.

Good luck!

Thank you for responding. I have the 3" pins like yours. However, my pins have a bump in the middle. Therefore, it is not completely straight. I read somewhere that these were the best to use. Do you think that these pins are cuasing the problem?
