Chopped and Screwed

I saw this picture of Rihanna in a magazine, and her hair is always cute, new, hip, and fresh to me, so I decided that I wanted my hair like she had hers -- long on one side and short on the other.

So I went to the beauty supply store and got my hair color which was black at the time, and I showed my beautician the picture, and she said okay I can do that, but I would have to braid your hair first. I said okay that's fine with me. Because she is a professional, I would think that she knows what she's doing.

So she started braiding my hair, but she braided it around the edges and left the top and middle out, and I thought that it was very strange. But again I think she is a professional and she's never done anything to my hair that I didn't agree with.

Then she starts gluing in the pieces of hair, and I see her grab a blond piece of weave then a brown piece of weave and I'm just sitting there wondering what's next. Then she starts to cut my hair to shape it. When I got out of the chair, I had at least four colors in my head, and my head felt a bit heavy. I was totally unsatisfied, but I kept it, because everyone thought that it was cute and i should try something new.

After about two weeks I got tired of it and finally took it out, and I noticed that she cut my real hair -- the hair that she should have braided along with the other hair but didn't.

Now I have very short hair at the top of my head in patches and long hair around the sides. I have no clue what to do with my hair now. I feel like there is just no hope for it, and it hasn't grown back since.
