Clairol Herbal Essences "Totally Twisted" Product Line

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the "Totally Twisted" line from Herbal Essences for my curly hair. I use the shampoo and conditioner every day in the shower to wash my hair, and they don't dry my hair out or make it greasy--just soft and great-smelling. The entire line is based on "french lavender twist and jade extracts" to enhance the curliness of your hair, and it seems to work very well. I started using it about 2 years ago, and I haven't quit using it since then. I am definitely a devoted customer!

The other product from the line that I use every day is the Totally Twisted curl scrunching gel. It works on the same principle that pretty much all the other scrunching gels work on; that is, you work the gel into your hair and scrunch your curls a bit as you do so, and the product will help your curls be more defined and shiny, as opposed to a bushy mess. I use this and just a little bit of some anti-frizz serum, and my hair does great curly things (in that sexy, tousled, could-possibly-have-just-got-dressed-out-of-bed-after-a-GREAT-night-in-it kind of way) every day. Even better: the gel doesn't make your hair crunchy (unless you use way too much) and it doesn't dry up and leave flakes, so you don't have to worry about it! One of my top requirements for hair products is that they still leave my hair smelling great and totally touchable, and this gel does. The light scent in it is the same that is in the shampoo and conditioner, so I can even go out without perfume! Of course, it's not overwhelmingly-scented, either, which is great.

The mousse from the line is great for those days when you just need a teensy bit of help holding your hair in place, or reactivating the style. It has the same scent as the rest of the line, so my favorite way to use it is as a refresher on a lazy Saturday. If I have to run errands but don't want to completely get ready, I can just put a little of the mousse in my hand, rub it around a bit, and run my hands through my hair a couple times, maybe scrunching at the ends. It provides just the right amount of "wetness" I need to reactivate my curls or get rid of any poofiness left over from bedtime, but it doesn't get my hair sticky or stiff. Fantastic!

All in all, I'm really glad I went looking for new curly hair products when I did, that 2 years or so ago. This line is so easy to find--available in supermarkets or drugstores nationwide--and it doesn't cost a lot, which is a must for me. I'm pretty much a loyal customer now!
