Well, I've had a perm since the second half of fifth grade, and now im in the 11th grade. Every time I got a perm, all of my hair would actually be permed. So what exactly would be a touch up?

Touch-Up

A touch-up is when the relaxer (perm) is only applied to new growth. New growth is hair that has grown since the last time you had a relaxer. This hair is most likely wavy, curly or kinky depending on your texture. You should be able to tell the difference from the rest of your hair.
