Do it yourself
I started cutting my hair myself and it always turned out great. Well, there was this one time when I made a mistake but that was my first time cutting it myself and, plus, I couldn't see what I was doing and I had a bald spot on the back of my head. But other than that, every time I cut my hair myself, it turned out great.
I wanted to trim my hair so I took my razor and got ready. I stood in front of my mirror and grabbed my hair. I'm a teenager so I go through a bunch of phases, and this was one of them- a phase in which I craved trimmed hair. Now I don't even see why, I think that thick hair is beautiful and luscious.
Anyway, I trimmed more than half of it and then I came back to the front right part of my hair and started re-trimming it. I thought it looked good. Until I took a look in the mirror. My hair was around breast-length but that right front part which I re-trimmed was not. I CUT OFF all of my hair on that part and it was chin-length. I had a mini heart-attack and I immediately put down the razor. I didn't panic.
"I can fix it somehow, maybe I can put the rest of my hair on that part to hide the cut-off part." I wasn't that visible to me and I calmed down a bit. It'll grow.
When I went to school the next day, EVERYONE saw what I did. I realized it was really visible and I wanted to close myself in a room and not come out until it grows out. But that's not the worst part.
A few days later, I cut off my hair to chin length.
All of it.
At first, I thought it didn't look so bad. But then I realized I look awful with short hair. That was the worst hair cut I ever had, and trust me, I've done awful things to my hair. I've had a bald spot on the back of my hair and I was able to hide it with hair clips and it grew out after some time. But this is just awful. I mean, this way it can grow out again and be thick and even but I look awful with short hair and plus, I'm dying it. Meaning it's a bit damaged and I think that makes it grow slower. I look and feel like a boy and I look fatter.
I would KILL for longer hair. I can't wait for it to grow out to my shoulders. My ideal hair length would be waist-length but until it grows out to my shoulders, I'll feel awful. I started taking multi vitamins and I'm trying to do as much as I can to help quicken up my hair growth.
