Hi Nina,

Thanks SO much for this site! It's FABULOUS!!!!!

I read your stories and saw your pictures. I'm sure a lot of women are taking this advice (as it is good advice) :)

My question to you is, are you of a mixed race? Your hair seems like it was good quality to BEGIN with. What about those of us who aren't mixed? Would we yield the same results, or is it just something we'll have to try and see.

Any advice would help!

Long hair is for everyone!

Thanks so much for your compliment on my site!!

Both of my parents are African American so no, in the true sense of the word, I am not mixed. :)

No matter what your hair texture, I believe you can work to achieve the length and health that you are looking for. No one has the same hair type and texture so we all have to make various adjustments.

Believe me, I get frustrated when I see that other people have hair that looks just like mine, yet, they are able to achieve styles and looks that I never can!

The one I hear people say is "My hair is never going to get that long so why bother. It will take me 5 years!"

Well, you know what? Five years is going to pass by anyway. During that time, you can concentrate on achieving a hair length goal if you want. :)
