Dr. No Miracle

by Lanee
(St. Louis, MO)

I was in search of a hair conditioner that would help some of the itching that I was experiencing on my scalp. Here I am on my lunch at the Kings Beauty supply fiddling through the aisles of many hair products trying to find a conditioner that relief of itching. There were so many to choose from. So I kept on browsing when I saw this very nice display of Dr. Miracles A to Z products.

There was even a brochure next to the products so you could read a little about all the products. So, I'm reading and there is this conditioner Dr. Miracles Feel It Leave In Conditioner for itchy scalp. So here I am excited that I have found this conditioner that will help to relieve the itching and I will be itch free....Wrong!!!

I went home washed and conditioned my hair with Dr.Miracles and could feel the tingling sensation on my scalp and thought this might really work. So I blow dried and styled my hair as usual and I could still feel the tingling.

The next morning I woke to a little itching which I thought might be normal but then later in day the itching got a little worse and I thought my head didn't itch this badly before. So I decided to wash my hair again and the itching got worse.

I had my husband come to bathroom to check out my scalp because now my scalp is on FIRE...call the fire department to put me out. He looked at my scalp and noticed it was very red and irritated right at the crown of my head. So I called a dermatologist to schedule a next-day appointment.

Now I had to go all night with my head on fire. I went in the next day to see the dermatologist. He starts by asking all these questions and what hair products I recently used. I told him Dr. Miracles and showed him the bottle. Heexamines my scalp and tells me that my scalp had been burned by the product and that I may have had an allergic reaction to some of the ingredients.

Now I have some permanent hair loss where I was burned. My hair will grow back in some spots, but a little thinner. I have a thin spot on top of my head and a prescription that will help with itching (fluocinonide) is what he prescribed.

To all those looking to use Dr. No Miracles: beware of the feel of its leave in conditioner, because I was feeling it thinking it was working but that was a wrong feeling!! OUCH!!

That's odd....
by: Anonymous

I've never experienced this with any Dr. Miracle's products. I would, however, contact the company and let them know what you all have experienced with their products. That's unacceptable; they pride themselves on helping to restore healthy hair growth, so they shouldn't have a problem listening to your grievances/concerns.

Honestly, I've never had any adverse effects from using Dr. Miracle's; in fact, I noticed tremendous growth as a result of usage. I did, however, switch from using this product brand to Organic Root Stimulator as I started to style my hair in more natural styles. I just didn't find that it was helping in this particular area. I will keep your experience(s) in mind, however.

Terrible Product
by: Anonymous

My sister and I both used the temple and nape grow and had terrible results. Our hair had always been shorter at the nape so when I saw this I thought it would be perfect. This made my hair come out so bad. Took me forever to realize it was this product actually stopping my growth and making the hair I did have back there fall out. I would also use it when putting my hair up to smooth my edges (big mistake). I ended up with no edges. Now--2 years later it's finally starting to get back to normal. I was devistated.

You are so right about Dr. Miracle!!
by: Rox

I used the no-lye relaxer kit about 6 months ago and my hair has not recovered!! So much of my hair came out with just the first rinse, it cloged up the drain! My hair was coarse and not smooth and silky like it is normally is after a relaxer. Afterwards many people told me that I should never use that brand and that they have had bad experiences with other Dr. Miracle products. I'm so frustrated with the condition of my hair, I'm considering a radical chop off just to get rid of as much of the damaged hair as possible without actually shaving my head! No Dr. miracle for me ever again!!

DO NOT USE
by: Anonymous

Dr.Miracle needs to be banned from the shelves. I brought the shampoo/ leave in conditioner and hair and nape grow balm. My scalp was burned so badly, my throat felt like it was closing up and i experienced swelling behind my ears at what was called by the dr as my lymphnods....this product appears to be extremely dangerous. After reading the blogs (to late) and speaking with other people who also experienced issues I WILL NEVER USE ANY OF DR.MIRACLE PRODUCTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
