Front line hair is thin

by Jennier Augment
(takoma park, md, montgomery )

I have full hair right in the middle of my head but my outer side of my hair is thins are short and I don’t have the thickness, also I barely have hair in the back side of my hair. I don’t think am losing hair it’s more like that is how I am. I have tried to let my hair grow health and natural with out using any relaxed, but when I decide to were my hair in a pony tale after I have applied jell to it frizzes up, therefore I turn to putting a relaxed on the front of the hair lines only to keep the fresh clean look . I had cut off all the relaxed hair already but now I am back to the straight ends on my front lines only. My hair when letting it grow out is more like yours or close. I guess the problem that I face is that instead of my hair growing down worth it grows up in an afro look... “and I hate it" but I love my curls. Just a bit of a history am 25 years old now and since I could remember since I have been 18 I have had 8 hair cutes up to my ears or close just because of the relaxed or the split ends. I would love to let it grow out to a more Caribbean look.

attach is a picture... well that is my hair, but since then all that long hair in the front, break off and not it is short up my eye brows or close

Tender Loving Care
by: Nina Dyoran

Hi there,

The biggest thing you have to do is to stop relaxing your hair over and over for a smooth look. That is most likely what is thinning out your hair. Also, if hair isn't healthy, it is not going to lay down correctly. So, you really need to concentrate on getting your hair healthy.

Shampoo and deep condition weekly. Use a creamy leave-in conditioner like Salerm 21 or Nexxus Leave-in. Roller set your hair.

If you want to wear your hair in a smooth ponytail or bun, use a thick hair cream instead of gel. Gel will just make your hair dryer and will cause it to come out especially if it dries hard and you try to comb it.

Your hair doesn't look so bad. Just give it some tender loving care!
