I have often heard friends of mine bemoan the fact that cuts for curly long hair are so very difficult to put together. They say that it is great at the salon but when you step out of the shower the following day and try to recreate it you are doomed to failure. Long curly hair has great potential you just have to work with it and not against it.
Start with getting a stylist who is comfortable working with curly hair. Your type of hair is best cut in layers so that it becomes easy to manage and you’ll be able to recreate the look by yourself sans stylist.
The trademark of a good haircut is that when it dries it looks the same in the salon or at home. For maintenance, have it trimmed every three weeks or so.
For more formal settings a simple updo is a perfect long curly hair style. Use bobby pins to position the curls at the top of your head. Secure it so it looks like a bun and the curls are flowing away from it. Please do not make it look too neat.
Allow a few strands to frame your face so it does not look too severe. For extra zing decorate your updo with hair clips that have crystals.
Lastly this method is great if you don’t have much energy. Combine hair gel and hair serum. With one hand pull damp hair towards your face while massage the concoction on it.
To prevent hair sticking together shake your hair out. As much as possible don’t use a comb. Have fun with these hairstyles for long curly hair, it’s simple and looks great!
