There are currently several products in the market that can help you get rid of your hair dye. I will start with some commercial products, then some home remedies and lastly I will discuss how to get rid of a black dye.
Some commercial products that are available in the market include Color Fix by Jheri, Color Zap by Loreal and Roux Clean Touch. These products can be used either for color corrections or to completely remove the hair dye. In both cases it leaves the hair ready for next coloring. But it is highly recommended that you read the instructions given on the product before using it. Because you never want to test with your hair so it’s better to be fully aware of the possible side effects.
There are also several home remedies including frequent shampooing, exposure to water and hot oil treatments. Hair bleach can be used to remove the last bits of stains by just add a small amount of it to your shampoo, mixing it well and applying. However, I would not recommend using hair bleach at all.
Last but not least removing black dye from your hair is a very sensitive and difficult task to perform. Although bleach can be used to remove the black hair pigments but it has a potential to harm your hair. It is a long process of removing color layers starting from black, red, orange and finally light color.
Then you can apply the color of your choice or dye that resembles your natural hair color. If you are not experienced in this than I would recommend you to visit a hair salon than to try it yourself as they have professionally trained staff that know ins and outs of this. They will apply high strength bleaches and dye removers. Then they will also condition your hair following treatment and thus your hair will be less prone to damage.
Even though removing hair dye is not recommended as it may severely damage your hair but if necessary, these were some of the useful tips on how to remove hair dye with minimum damage to your hair.
Remember, it is highly recommended that you see a professional stylist should you dislike your hair color job.
