I have no clue on how to keep my curls pretty?

I have 3c hair and I love it but whenever I try to wear it curly it always starts to poof and i end up washing it again and straightening it with a flat iron. Sometimes I just don't feel like worrying about that because my hair curls up at the least sight of humidity and water. Any ideas or products I can use. For the most part I use an oil moisturizer and gel to hold the style it looks nice while its still wet but it looks horrible when it's dry.

I had the same problem, there is a solution!
by: Nickye

I had the same problem, I have 3c corkscrew curls. Go to any ethnic beauty supply store and get Elasta QP Feels like Silk. Wash and condition your hair well (that is key, try the CURLS line, it's excellent). After conditioning apply a non-oil based leave in condtioner like CURLS Quenched Curls Moisturizer or Redken Extreme Anti-Snap. Then apply the Feel Like Silk, it will take some time before you know the amount you need, it varies with the texture. I put it in mine, bend over, slide my fingers through the root, and shake. My corkscrew look the same dry as wet, with no pouf! And the next day I just dampen and spot apply. I've had type 4s use this and they had the same result...the stuff is amazing!! And so you know, the blow drying and straightening is just adding to your problem...trust me, been there!!

Define each curl

Have you tried smoothing out your curls individually? When your hair is still wet, go through your hair defining each individual curl. This might take you an hour or so but you should end up withe beautiful curls.
