Natural Hair Tips

Are you constantly looking for natural hair tips to achieve the curls of your dreams? Your secret formula may be different from someone else's so I hope my list of natural hair care tips will give you some ideas to experiment and eventually get the kinds of curls that turn heads!
- Skip curl your hair after you've applied styling products, form
your curls around your finger and then "skip" them like a rope to form
pretty spirals. Do this all over.
- Comb your styling product through with a wide tooth comb to make sure you've covered all areas.
- Put
duck bill clips at the bottom of your hair while your diffuse it. The
weight of the clips will help your hair to dry with more length.
- Use a Denman brush to brush in your conditioner. After you rinse and apply styling products, you'll have amazing curls!
- Use a creamy leave-in conditioner to add weight.
- Don't touch your hair while it is drying. If it dries with the styling product slightly crunchy - put a little serum in your hands and then de-crunch it without frizzing it.
- Instead of diffusing till dry, just diffuse until partially dry and then let it air dry the rest of the way through.
- Apply your styling products in sections to ensure you cover all areas. Apply more where you have less curl definition.
- Do not use shampoo everyday. Instead use a light conditioner to cleanse your hair. This will keep your natural curls moisturized and give them lots of definition.
- Using
a moisturizer like a hair lotion underneath your styling products to
decrease the amount of crunch the styling product may cause.
- ALWAYS comb your conditioner through with a wide-tooth comb so that when you're done, your hair is all ready for styling.
- My
favorite of all natural hair tips is instead of rinsing out your
conditioner leave it in and continue styling. Use a light conditioner
for this and don't leave too much in.
