Hi Nina,

I checked out your transition pictures and was wondering, how did you get your hair to slick down to make a nice looking ponytail? Did you put it in a ponytail when it was soppy wet or did you use a lot of product? I am transitioning and I like to wear ponytails but mine do not come out like that, I guess I'm still looking for the right products. Which products did you use while transitioning?

Thanks,
janean

Ponytail Directions
by: Nina, Editor LHHA

Hi Jenean,

Here's how to do a wet ponytails.

Use leave-in conditioner section by section like Salerm 21. Then also apply a creamy moisturizer section by section. Now detangle your hair with a wide-tooth comb and smooth the hair back into a ponytail shape with my hands. Your hair should be smooth and detangled at this point. Grab a dallop of CD Healthy Hair Butter and smooth on outer portion of the hair concentrating on the egdes as well as nape area. It will look white till you're done. Now, take a finer tooth comb and smooth the hair again. You should not hit any snags...if you do, your hair isn't detangled enough or maybe it is too thick for this method. Put the no-snag elastic on to make the ponytail. Now, take your fine tooth comb and smooth again. Combing and smoothing with your hands until it is nice and smooth with no flyaways.

Optional: Take ORS Twist and Lock Gel and apply a dime-sized amount over top of hair. Smooth with hands.

Now put on a satin scarf and let hair set for 15 minutes.

Let me know how it turns out for ya!
