Oily Scalp Shampoo

You probably need a special oily scalp shampoo if you have oily scalp and oily hair that is typically caused by active sebaceous glands.

You can never prevent an oily scalp but you can definitely control its oiliness by looking for a shampoo that will control the production of oil by the sebum. You should also consider a shampoo that will thoroughly clean your hair but be cautious because some hair products contain chemicals to fight oiliness. So better yet, look for a natural or herbal one.

If you have an oily scalp, it is necessary to shampoo and wash your hair every day. You would not probably need to use conditioner most of the time because you already have conditioned hair. Avoid combing your hair too much because it will just cause the sebaceous glands to produce more oils. If possible, spend little time on styling your hair so that it will not be too oily.

Look for a shampoo with Zinc PCA because it helps control the sebaceous glands and lessens the oil produced. It is also effective when it comes to cleaning your scalp and for removing excess oil and dirt found on the scalp and hair. Menthol is also a good ingredient to battle oily scalp. It has the same functions as Zinc PCA and even more. It smells good and is very refreshing if used. It makes you alive and awake even in the wee times of the morning. Furthermore, your scalp will feel clean.

The best oily scalp shampoo has these recommended ingredients: Zinc PCA and/or Menthol. Both are good in controlling excess oil while keeping your hair smooth and clean.
