Super Skinny Line

 

The Super Skinny line is a popular line from Paul Mitchell hair products.  This line is intended to make hair smooth, shiny, and silky.  While it's not specifically made for those with curly hair, it works great for curly heads and those with a coarse hair texture.  It is especially nice to use when straightening natural hair.  I was recently turned on to this line and I am in love with it!  It will make your hair smooth and soft with an amazing silky feeling and super shine!   The line is called Super Skinny because it is formulated to tighten the diameter of the hair thus reducing drying time and smoothing out hair.

 

Super Skinny Daily Shampoo starts off by helping to constrict the hair and displace water causing smoothness.  It uses mild surfectants in order to cleanse the hair without stripping it.  Drying time is then reduced due to the constricting of the hair.

 

Super Skinny Daily Treatment is to be used after the shampoo.  It gives the hair major slip and makes it easy to comb your hair while it's wet.  The conditioner is the first step in providing thermal protection to your hair in preparation for straightening.  The hair actually becomes smoother.  It also continues to constrict the hair to reduce drying time.

 

Super Skinny Smoothing Serum is a silicone treatment that smooths, conditions and seals the hair shaft adding amazing shine in the process.

 

Super Skinny Relaxing Balm contains wheat and vegetable proteins as well as conditioners to moisturize the hair and give it a silky, smooth finish.  This product is especially important to use in order to prevent reversion and lock out humidity.

 

Straight Works is a thick gel-like product that is made up of silicones and styling products to help provide slip and smooth, silky finish.  Conditioners and humectants keep the hair manageable and soft. Chamomile, jojoba, and henna gives hair that total bling bling look!

 

Gloss Drops was also created to help resist humidity.  It contains light silicones to smooth and soften the hair.  It also contains chamomile, jojoba, and henna to enhance shine.

 

Personal Review:

I recently started using this line to straighten my natural hair.  First of all, the scent of these products is absolutely amazing!  It is a melony scent that is not overpowering but just enough to provide enjoyment during shampooing and conditioning.  My hair felt noticeably smoother with more slip than it did with products I previously used.  I used the Straight Works mixed with gel applied to my hair in sections before blow drying it.  Then I proceeded to flat iron with my Sedu iron.  The results were absolutely amazing!  I dare you to try these products if you're having trouble straghtening and keeping your natural hair straight!
