Product Question

by Renee
(Chicago, IL)

I've made the decision to go natural because my hair has gotten to the point where it's had enough. The chemicals have damaged my hair so much that I feel I don't have a choice. My hair is extremely light - when I purchase weave its about a 6/8. Not only is it light but it's also thin and fine. Around this time I would be getting a perm but I'm going to try and grow this out!

Okay, back to the question at hand. I purchased some products from Karen's Body Beautiful (shampoo, conditioner and hair milk). How do you use these products effectively? How often should I wash/rinse my hair and how would you recommend using the hair milk?

I have no clue what I'm doing, but I'm not doing the big chop nor am I getting braids so any suggestions and advice to get me through this rough stage, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Nina's Response

Hi Renee,

Congratulations on your decision to transition!

For the Karen's products, I would suggest that you read the directions that came with the the products to learn how to use them. I have never used those products so I cannot give you any specific tips regarding them. However, I have heard great things about them. I think you will do fine by just following the directions! :)

As far as transitioning, here are a few pages on my site that can help you with that:
