Scalp Inflammation
Very few people know but scalp inflammation can also be a reason for balding. We always consider DHT to be the main reason of hair loss as it’s a well known fact that it attacks the hair follicles and stopping them from growing.
Causes of Inflammation of the Scalp
Alopecia is a disease in which the inflammation occurs followed by shrivels and lastly ceasing of hair production. There is increasing evidence that the role of inflammation in the origin of disease is present in the hair loss. It has also been found that the scalp inflammation usually accompanies alopecia which is useful data for further research.
Inflammation of the scalp can increase the rate of hair your falling out and this is because it promotes the development of telogen effluvium. This alters the normal hair cycle and thus loss of hair. Although most hair is in the growing phase there are about a hundred hairs that shed per day from the scalp. It is completely normal. Sometimes the telogen effluvium increases causing a greater number of hairs to be shed per day.
Inflammation can also be a reason for per-follicular fibrosis which enlarges the follicular sheath and forms extra fibrous connective tissues in the organ.
If you want to check if the hair loss is due to red, itchy scalp then you can check it by looking for redness or rash on the skin. DHT brings a change in the hair follicles, reason of which is still unknown. This change sends a signal to the body’s immune system which attacks the hair follicles leading to a hot red scalp.
Also, if you are suffering from any sort of itchy scalp (such as eczema or dermatitis), pimples or tenderness then you may be a victim of scalp/DHT inflammation.
Scalp Inflammation Treatment
Stopping DHT to attack the hair follicles is not that easy and even if you succeed a bit it is not absolute that you will be cured from the disease and no inflammation will occur. This is because in most cases even after partial DHT has been stopped, the inflammation still continues to occur. DHT needs to be completely stopped before you can get relief. Although there are several different products available in the market to deal with this but one such product that is proven effective is RK19. It is worth trying.
I hope this article on inflammation of the scalp, its symptoms and how to cure it have been helpful to you and your situation.
