Scalp Sores
Scalp sores – have you ever heard of them?
When I was in high school, I remember there was a girl who told me in private that she had discovered scalp sores in the middle of her head! I was curious as to what caused it.
Causes of Sores on Scalp
I did some research and found out it can be due to frequently washing your hair with harsh chemical hair products (shampoos and conditioners)! I guess in trying to get and keep healthy hair, you can end up damaging your scalp! Read on to learn how to avoid this.
These sores should be taken seriously. It has been deemed one of the most common scalp related skin problems. It appears as blisters and bumps or even crusting on the scalp. Also, often red in color and can be painful. There are also other ways in which one can get this disease such as through allergic reactions of the scalp to some skin infections, viral infections such as chicken pox and acne.
By intensively washing your hair with a harsh shampoo, the scalp dries out which ultimately leaves the hair follicles open. The drying of the scalp is due to the chemicals extracting the natural oil from the skin of the scalp. Then these follicles become vulnerable to yeast infections and result in an infection known as folliculitis. This infection then leads to the formation of sores on scalp. This can happen with children and adults.
Treatment for Scalp Sores
So what treatment do you use to get your hair and scalp back on track? By applying a purified shampoo, you can to soothe and heal your scalp with a natural treatment that will remove skin conditions like acne, bumps and blisters that cause these sores. This purifying shampoo is an excellent remedy as it comprises of herbal extracts that have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial components.
Other usual products include lavender, avocado, eucalyptus and chamomile natural oils and vinegar. While you simply massage your scalp with these natural oils, you are required to rinse your hair with a vinegar solution which reduces the formation of sores.
