My older friend has curly hair, so when she goes to the salon she chooses from model pictures with short curly hair cuts. Why short hair when the sensible thing to do is just put it in a ponytail so it’s not so hard to manage? Answer, she wants to look younger and more put together (a.k.a. I want to look good in 10 minutes). Unfortunately ponytails look good on the very young, 10 years old young.

But which of the hair cuts will look good on you? When you go to the salon your stylist is the best person to help you decide, you just need to keep communication lines open. Have a serious discussion before your stylist starts cutting.
Remember since different people have different hair textures the picture you choose may not turn out the exact same way. Specifically ask him if it will look the same or if the end result will look a little different.
It is also important to note that even if short hairstyles for curly hair are not Avant-garde or new styles, as long as they are able to emphasize your best features it’s a winner. So if you have beautiful cheekbones make sure to get a cut that highlights that.
Short hair styles must also create an illusion of a firmer jaw line. Shorter hair at the back and longer at the front will create angles that simulate the effect we want. Lastly, manage your short curly hair style with pomade it can control and tame it. If pomade is not working, a hair wax will.
