"Super" Size Me!

When I was in college, I went home for one of my breaks and decided to put in my own relaxer. I had done this before while at school so I felt confident enough that I could do it again.

Well, I am from the deep country and forgot to purchase the relaxer kit before I went home so I resorted to seeing if our pharmacy had any. Lucky me (so I thought at the time), they had 2 boxes. So I grabbed one and went home.

I started putting it in and it was burning really bad before I had even finished one side. I fought through it and completed my entire head. Needless to say, the end result was a head full of scabs and eventually hair falling out.

I checked the box to see what could possibly be wrong with this relaxer. Was it out of date? (Since my country town doesn't/wouldn't keep up with that sort of thing.) NOPE, not out of date. It was "SUPER!" I needed REGULAR!! How could I miss that. I never did my own relaxer again!
