texturizer to a relaxer

Hi, I have been trying to grow out my hair naturally, because I cut it off due to a bad break up, now I am upset because I can't even put my hair in a pony tail. My hair stylist told me to put a texturizer in my hair, but I was scared and I only put it in for a min. How long must I wait to go back to a relaxer. I prefer my hair straight anyway. Ohh I have been Natural for almost 7mths. Please help me.
