WEN works especially for this African American user

I recently started to wear my hair non-chemically treated. This is the first time I have been relaxer-free in over 20 years, so I really had no real expectation of how this product would work on my very tightly-coiled, damaged and dry hair, but I was hopeful given the nutrient-rich nature of the products. Plus I tend to be somewhat of a product junkie and am always eager to try new beauty products - especially hair products.

I can be a harsh critic since I have tried so many other product lines and discovered that the products failed to live up to the hype; this product (at least for this woman) has forever changed the way I will look at hair cleansing and care; I believe I've been spoiled for other products because my hair is so luxuriously soft with something I've found lacking with other products - defined curls without frizz and/or fuzz.

I would certainly recommend this product line to others with wiry or coarse hair textures. You will discover a moisturized, healthful head of hair - probably more moisturized than it has ever been - even with the use of very high-priced products that promised much, but delivered little; the Wen system, however, promised healthy, manageable hair and delivered.

By the by, there is a certain beauty retailer that sells a so-called generic version of the Wen cleansing conditioner. I tried that product, and while it did make my hair somewhat softer, it cannot compare to the genuine product by Chaz Dean. Furthermore, the beauty retailer that makes the knock-off cleansing conditioner does not make any of the companion products that Chaz Dean offers; and having tried both the original& the generic - I can truly state that the original products are far superior and each of the companion products serves to complement the other products in the line when used in conjunction with the full line of products.
