What did I see....It was a bald spot staring back at me!!!!!!!

About a year ago I told my hair stylist to cut my hair in long layers but don't take off too much. She should have known what to do as she had cut it like that before and I was pleased with it.

This time she got butcher happy with my bra strap length hair giving me a very jacked up cut. One side in the front was like crazy short and choppy while the other side in the front looked like she barely touched it and then the back length was uneven by almost an inch. So I decided to keep that mess in a rollerset until it grew out.

Well went to Sally's got some silk elements setting and wrapp lotion, (recommended by saleslady), got home used this and the next day my face and eyes burned every time my hair that now contained this product touched it. Next thing I knew for some reason my hair started coming out like crazy, (prior to this other than the jacked up hair cut my hair was in perfect shape).

I went back to sally's got the aphogee protein that makes hair hard ( used this in the past with no problems) so I waited a couple days and washed hair I did all my deep conditioning and everything my hair was fine and the crazy shedding had stopped so then I applied the aphogee followed the steps carefully and used additional conditioner afterwards. I rinsed out every thing I took my towel off my head and saw something that looked like a strange part I got a little closer and moved my hair over some and what I saw nearly brought me to tears.

I had a brand new shiny bald spot the size of a quarter!!!!!!!!!!!!

My feelings were so hurt and my heart was so broken I have never in my life experienced such a thing. I still don't know to this day what caused this to happen. I just know this whole nightmare started with that ridiculous haircut it was like the nightmare just kept going and going.

The only good thing that came out of this was it lead me on my hair journey and I left my scissor happy hair dresser alone. I have since been doing my own hair and I have been nursing it and babying it back to health. I have noticed alot of hair has come back in the spot (Thank God) but it still has a long way to go.

I also have managed to get my hair that she cut from bra strap lenght to almost shoulder length back to, well it is almost waist length now I think I have about 4 to maybe 5 inches to go. That is my horror story of course there are some others but this is the most recent one that caused alot of damage. Sorry this is so long and please excuse any typos.
