Where Did my Aphro Go?

I decided to go natural! Yea exciting, my course of action was to wear braids until I got the length I desired. Once the length was achieved I had a fly afro; where I was able to wear really cute buns. However my processed hair was still attached to my natural. I figured it would just continue to fall out. So I did nothing to it.

Week after week my afro was shrinking. At first I thought I may have been trippin. Until it was painfully clear that my hair was disappearing off my head. People kept asking me why did I cut my hair. When I told them I didn't, they gave me a real puzzled look; because clearly it had gotten shorter.

I recently realized the reason was because I never cut the perm off, so my hair is still breaking off. It really sucks, because now I have to put my hair into braids again and let it grow back. Even though I swore to myself I wouldn't put myself through that process again. So ladies please trim your hair, or else...
